Is someone here who is able to get access to the publications of the Biological Society of Washington? They have several interesting papers to poorly known or extinct birds, including the Tachira Antpitta.

Is here really no one who has access to the journals of that society? In particular i am searching for the first description of the Stephanoaetus mahery which was described by Goodman in the Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington in 1994.

Thank you, Peter. This is kind. Since yesterday, I have an account at Bioone by the courtesy of the German Wikimedia Foundation as literature sholarship. Bioone has only the current issues (since 2005) of the Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington but unfortunately i have found no website which provide the older issues.
So, I'm not able to find the 1994 article you want either......
I think this is the full reference of the article you want: Goodman, S.M. (1994). Description of a new species of subfossil eagle from Madagascar: Stephanoaetus (Aves: Falconiformes) from the deposits of Amphasambazimba. Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington 107 421-428.
And the website of the Society isn't working, at least not on my computer here: http://www.biolsocwash.org. Maybe it would be possible to get a copy there (when it works anyway).

thank you very much for your tries. Well, it seems that http://www.biolsocwash.org is not working at the moment. But maybe there is a contact address at the Society where you can ask whether older issues are still availabe.

So, i've did some research. The Procedings are available from issue 90. But unfortunately it is only possible to pay by credit card. Here is the new website and the contact address of the BSW:

I've just ordered isssue 107 (all 4 parts) via a German book store. I am really curious on the Stephanoaetus mahery article because it is the only comprehensive article about this species so far. It would be great if Stephen Goodman (who is one of the best experts on the wildlife of Madagascar) would write a book about the vanished fauna of Madagascar (similar to the Anthony Cheke about the Mascarenes and Trevor Worthy about New Zealand).
