Tantilla briggsi

This species is known only from the type locality on the Caribbean versant of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in the Mexican state of Oaxaca at low elevations between 90 and 100 m asl. Another specimen has been found recently (L. Canseco Marquez pers. comm. 2005) in a nearby location.

The species is known only from the type specimen, and one other specimen collected recently
