Aphelocheirus kawamurae
Family: Aphelocheiridae
This species is endemic to freshwater sponge or the bed in the southern part of Lake Biwa, the most largest lake in Japan, and its tributary system. It has never seen since 1962 because of water pollution, habitat destruction, and subsurface drainage. It is listed as CR in Japanese Red Data.
It may be surviving in Korea, but the original resources can't be found.
