Hey everyone, Currently I'm very busy with updating my website! The name has also been changed into The Extinction Website, as it is not just about animals anymore, but now there is also a plant website. A website about recently extinct species. The new website is far from finished, but the website, including URL, was mentioned in the August edition of a big Dutch popular scientific magazine, named KIJK: www.kijk.nl/. The magazine aims at young people aged 15-21. This can generate more visitors to my website, so I've updated the website already! Very soon more updates, with corrections, new information and new pages, will come! The Extinction Website: extinct.petermaas.nl. Peter

Hi Peter, that is a very good idea with the change. According to the advertising for you site. What about Wikipedia? There are a lot of contributions where you can place the link of your website. Great work on the site Peter! I can't stop reading it. I just wish I had photos to contribute.
Could maps be useful?
Google Earth is a very popular interactive site. People post thier points of interest on it. I would greatly value knowing aproximately where recent extinctions are occuring, whether that is done on Google Earth somehow, or on your own map.

Thanks. The new pages usually do have maps. And I do include them too when I update an older page. But pinpointing extinctions on Google Earth is a good idea!
