The Balkan lynx population is the most endangered of all autochthonous Lynx lynx populations. The total population is estimated less than 100 individuals spreading mainly in Albania and Macedonia. This is the more alarming as it most probably concerns even an own subspecies Lynx lynx martinoi. The IUCN/SSC Cat Specialist Group, together with Euronatur and national as well as international partner institutions, maintains a network to support the preservation of the Balkan Lynx. One important precondition for successful and efficient conservation work is sharing knowledge and experience. The Balkan Lynx Compendium aims at providing all relevant information available. Contributions and comments are welcome! Please contact us under the e-mail address catsglib@kora.ch The Balkan Lynx Compendium is a partnership project. In the Mavrovo NP, western Macedonia and in the region of Gollobordë, eastern Albania Link to the Compendium: lynx.uio.no/lynx/ballynxco/20_blx-compendium/
