Hello everybody,
i am trying to make an assessment of plants which became extinct by human activity in the past 40,000 years. (especially the period 40,000 years in Australia and furthermore the period 3000 BC to 1500 AD in North Africa, the Mediterranean area, the Middle East, New Zealand, Hawaii, the Pacific Islands and South America. Another focus should be the origin of our cultivated plants. Especially which wild forms of cultivated garlic, mays, pepper, onions, orchids and other flowers, herbs are known and became extinct hundreds or thousand years ago? If you have any material which deal with that subject please share your knowledge.
Melanie.

off course and if you have some literature sources these too. It would be also good to know if there are books and other material with illustrations of plants which became extinct before 1500 AD.
