The Bornean Bay Cat (Felis badia) was only known by museum's specimen. It was photographed for the first time in 2003

Apologies for sounding like a rumour machine, but I was informed a few years ago that a private German animal keeper possessed a bay cat, I have no proof of this myself, mind you I've heard reports in the past of captive aquatic genets in Germany as well so god only knows? Still it would be nice to believe this is true even nicer to get see these rarities!!
