... the red list says it is native to Palau and reginally extinct in Mauritius !!! www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/3/0Sadly someone copied this error into Wikipedia, and I bet it will never ever dissappear from there .... (... actually I deleted it at Wikipedia, also wrote a message to the red list team, but I fear nothing will happen ....) edit: The other species of this genus are called slugs at Wikipedia ....

You really seem to like this Wikipedia project. Many people seem just to copy things from somewhere into Wikipedia whithout checking if they are correct or not, this is very sad.

I recently talked to David Bullis, who studies this genus in Palau, all except one are still alive! "A. angaurana is a tricky one because I was unable to collect live specimens of this species last year in the field but I had a limited time on the only island it is known from (Angaur) to do so. I did find a shell from a fairly recently dead individual so I'm am unconvinced that it is extinct yet but it is certainly critically endangered."
