Cheumatopsyche vannotei - Gordon, 1974 Vannote's Cheumatopsyche Caddisfly Concept Reference: Clemson University Department of Entomology. 2002. Trichoptera World Checklist. Continual updates by John Morse. Last updated 5 September 2006. Online. Available: entweb.clemson.edu/database/trichopt/index.htmConcept Reference Code: N02CLE01EHUS Name Used in Concept Reference: Cheumatopsyche vannotei Global Status: GH Global Status Last Reviewed: 23Feb2005 Global Status Last Changed: 12Feb1993 Rounded Global Status: GH - Possibly Extinct Reasons: Known from one adult only collected before 1974 in PA. However, the type locality is in a rather typical piedmont setting and this region is not otherwise noted for endemism or rarities. This is also a well studied area for aquatic invertebrates. This species seemingly should occur more widely on the piedmont. Apparently known only from East Branch of White Clay Creek In Pennsylvania. Should be watched for downstream in adjacent Delaware. Reports from Minnesota and Manitoba were false. explorer.natureserve.org/Taxon/ELEMENT_GLOBAL.2.116799/Cheumatopsyche_vannotei
