I received them well! I was already looking for photos of specimens for these species. Here in the Netherlands it is not allowed to photograph these extinct animals in the Leiden Museum, and they are behind glass in a quite dark room, that light only one wall at the time. So thanks again.

Thanks for posting. Well I found one mammoth image there that is also in Wikipedia. So it must be in the public domain/free of copyright.

One tip by the way for everyone that needs pictures for their website! You can visit commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page! Here you can find many pictures that are in the Public domain, GFDL, or Creative Commons licenses. Many of them thus free of copyright! The free copyright images are able to I use in my book project?

Yes, they are! The Public Domain, Copyright free images can be used without problems. Images that are licensed with Creative Commons, Free Art License, GNU Free Documentation License, etc. can also be used but there are restrictions or things you need to do. You can read about them on wikipedia. When you click on a image you can see how the image is licensed, and how you can use it!

Yes! The vast majority of images on US government sites are in the public domain! And can freely be used. But they ask to credit the creator. Source: www.fws.gov/faq/imagefaq.html
