I have a question according to double posts in different forums.
After i have posted a message about the Dusky Starfrontlet in the Endangered birds board, Sebbe posted the same message in the rediscovered animals forum. So i have deleted the message in the endangered birds board. A similar post is with the Wollemi pine which is now mentioned in the endangered plants and the rediscovered board. So my question is. how should we deal with such double messages. Should they stay in both boards or should we delete one message if we found the same message in another board?

When it comes to the pine, I think the post in the rediscovered thread should be moved to the one in the endangered thread.
I think we should do that generally, merge together the posts in for ex two different threads or topics to one, it makes is a lot easier to post if you find additional info, if there is only a single thread.

Well, another question is. Which board suits better for a topic. Take the Noisy Scrub Bird for example. It could fit into the rediscovered board but in the endangered birds board too (i have made the entry for this species in the endangered birds board). The point is to make the search for a species in this forum as good as possible and so i came back to the main point of my topic. Some people are knowing that a species is endangered, but not that it was rediscovered. So they are looking at first in the Endangered birds board. So i think it would be good to make a redirect post for any endangered AND rediscovered species in the endangered board if it is already mentioned in the rediscovered board.

Maybe we can link them together with a comment that there is also one in the Rediscovered section or another board. When they find one thread, they will see that there is also another one with possible other info.

Peter is right. When a topic fits in two categories, you could put the in both, saying something as: "this topic can also be seen in (fictive title) "Blabla thread". And in the Blabla thread, you say: "this topic can also be found in the "Googoo thread". And both the Blabla and the Googoo share the same topic, because it's related to both.
