Previously referred to Thylogale brunii by hope 1981, but now thought to represent an extinct, undescribed species (flannery 1992b). In all situations, associated with a fauna typical of subalpine grassland or tundra. extinction may also coincide with the introduction of the dog, as they survived until 3,000 years ago at billingeek rockshelter in the prinz wilhelm v range (hope et al 1993).
