Yes, As Peter states none of the museum specimens show any blue as all the pigmentation has been bleached out over the centuries. They are very old remember that so there in prety good condition for there age.

One of the few stuffed specimens of the blue buck is in my home town Stockholm. Last time I went there (and that wasn't yesterday) this gem collected by Sparrman one of the disciples of Linnaeus collected dust in a not very visible corner. It is (or hopefully was) simply labelled Blue Buck (Hippotragus leucophaeus).
No interest at all in telling the visitor that this is one of only four and maybe giving some text on the fate of the animal.
