these species have lived between 3000 and 500 years BC. Ducula david, a pigeon also known from Uvea (Wallis Island), north of Fiji (35) and Lifuka, www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/90/3/818.pdfFive others (Megapodius alimentum, M. pritchardii, Gallicolumba stairi, Ducula david, and Ducula new sp.) survived into human times elsewhere in Tonga (2, 6, 46) and thus may have done so on 'Eua as well. www.pnas.org/cgi/reprint/90/3/818.pdf

Ducula david of Wallis Island was characterised by being larger than all known congeners (Balouet & Olson 1987), including D. goliath and D. galeata, which are slightly smaller and less robust (Steadman 1989b). Material from Lifuka (Steadman 1989b) and 'Eua (Steadman 1995; Steadman & Freifeld 1999) has been referred to D. david. www.rsnz.org/publish/jrsnz/2001/40.pdf

Those giant Ducula species like Ducula david or Ducula lakeba were probably a bit more than 50cm in length and weighed about 1kg, if you compare it with the living D. goliath, which is nearly the same size. This is not really giant, but very big for a pigeon.
