I think it's pretty hard to identify this species especially when the description and last sighting have been over a century ago and it probably was not digitised. Maybe this is another owl species not O. siaoensis?
It's difficult to say for certain because Siau is poorly explored and with nocturnal owls especially rare ones like O. siaoensis probably always was it's pretty difficult to say for certain.
