Hey! I'm searching for a thread again, this time for that about Herpestes hosei. I'm quite sure, that there once was such a thread, but where has it gone? Is this species not longer considered valid, has it been rediscovered? Can someone tell me more?

According to HMW 1 Herpestes hosei is considered as synonym of Herpestes brachyurus.

Hmmm.... it would not be the first time we lost a thread or at least weren't able to find it. It becomes also more and more difficult with 13364 threads, 49347 posts and the first one dating from 2003... At least I cant find it either right now. Maybe we should make a start with our suggested e-book project and combining the forum's collected information in one document that we can save, update and spread.

I agree Peter. I have been meaning to do up another list like the marsupial one for a while, but never got around to it I will start one right now. But we should also discuss the planned content of the book and its exact layout. I will a thread now to get input from everybody.
