Chiropterotriton arboreus (Arboreal Splayfoot Salamander)

This species is known from a small patch of forest around Tianguistengo in north-eastern Hidalgo, Mexico, from 1,900-2,100m asl.

The species has not been found since the early 1980s, despite recent attempts to locate it.
