Justification: Allaga ambigua is a flightless grasshopper species, which was described in 1896. It is endemic to Zanzibar and likely to be confined to lowland forest habitats. The species has never been re-discovered since its description, but no intensive searches have been carried out. Based upon its small geographic range and the ongoing pressure on forest habitats on Zanzibar, it is assessed as 'Critically Endangered'. Source: www.iucnredlist.org/details/summary/19672436/0
