GX. One population last seen in 1951. Presumed extinct when genus was listed as endangered on Federal Register. Extinct (Hawaii Biological Survey web site http:/hbs.bishopmuseum.org/endangered/ext-snails.html, updated 9 February 1997).

Endemic to Koolau Mountains. Single post-1945 occurrence in northern part of this range near Pupukea. Historically found from Laie trail to Pupukea trail - a range of two to three miles (Pilsbry & Cooke).
