Several bones from a species of Ducula have been recovered from the early Onemea site, Taravai -Mangareva a.k.a. Gambier Islands, French Polynesia-. I can´t found more information yet, but I think it could be an extinct endemic species of that archipelago, as bones do no are referred to D. aurora or D. galeata.
