"Regnier et al. (2009) suggested that this species was extinct, based on information in Szarowska and Falniowski, A. (2004) but this was an error, as there are other records from Lake Pamvotis suggesting there is another location (Frogley and Preece 2007), so as such, these sightings review investigation, as do other small lakes in the region."
