This species is still surviving in Chichijima, Hahajima, and South Iwo-Jima. Already rediscovered in Hahajima in the 1990s but confused with other species, Lamellidea biplicata and Lamellidea ogasawarana, and finally identified recently. Please move to "Other Rediscovered Animals" sub-boards.
