Justification: This species is endemic to the Seychelles islands of Grande Soeur and Petite Soeur. It is almost certainly extinct on Petite Soeur where it was last recorded in 1975.
This species is restricted to two small islands which have been heavily degraded since the species was last recorded in 1975. It is assumed to be extinct on Petite Soeur and as a result, is thought to now occur at a single location. Extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) have been estimated at 60 km2 and 3 km2, respectively. Therefore, it is assessed as Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct).
