Justification: This species is endemic to the Seychelles island of Mahe, where it is represented by a single record from 1892.
This species is known from a single locality where the habitat has deteriorated severely due to invasive plants. It has an estimated extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) of 20 km2. It has not been recorded since 1892 and may be extinct. Therefore, it is assessed as Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct).
