Justification: This species is endemic to the Seychelles island of Silhouette.
This species has not been collected since 1972 despite searches of suitable habitat. This habitat is found at a single location and has an area of 5 km2. If the species survives it will be threatened by habitat deterioration caused by to the effects of invasive plant species, especially the tree Cinnamomum verum. Therefore, this species is assessed as Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct).
