Justification: This species is endemic to the Seychelles islands of Mahe and Silhouette. This species is known from only two isolated records from 1908 and 1972 despite recent searches of suitable habitat. Its population is severely fragmented and the area of occupancy (AOO) of this species is 5 km2, based on the area of suitable habitat available. The last record is from Morne Blanc where the habitat has become heavily degraded due to invasion by introduced plants and is probably no longer suitable for the species. Any surviving population will be threatened by this factor. Therefore, this species is assessed as Critically Endangered (Possibly Extinct). www.iucnredlist.org/species/196513/2458896
