I also dont know of any snail species affected. It is theorized that the extinct Trachycystis rariplicata Greenpoint Snail - known only from Green Point might have been caused by this species (Connolly 1939) - but given the swamp drainage, sports-fields, houses and other extensive transformations in this area this is highly speculative: anything could have caused its extinction.
