Only a few days left in 2019 and it is time to make some thoughts on this year. I think it was a special one in a negative way and hope is dwindling for future generations. A few months ago the UNO published a report that one million species are on the brink of extinction. This is a very dangerous development not only for this planet but also for the whole mankind. Nature don't need us but we need the nature. But there are idiots, like Trump or Bolsonaro, who won't understand that because money is much more important for those people than the lives of others. Take the hurricane season this year. There was one of the most devastated storms ever hit the Bahamas and the Bahamas nuthatch was probably a victim of this storm. Or take the fires in Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, or California with dramatic effects for the world's climate. I am very happy that we have a youth movement like Fridays for Future but I'm pessimistic that the elder generations will do the right thing for future generations.
