Danaus cleophile yameyensis Turner & Turland, 2018(Nymphalidae: Danainae)Although this endemic subspecies was last collected in 1941, surveys in the central mountains of Jamaica have not been completed and, as discussed in the introduction, several species of Jamaican butterflies have been found after long absences.Recommendations: Surveys need to be conducted in the central mountains, beginning with Mount Diablo and then expanding outwards into neighboring forested areas.
