Identification information: 18 cm. Large, lanky, scruffy-looking warbler with long bill and remarkably stout legs and feet. Lost to the world prior to any documentation of voice or behaviour.

Justification:
This species is Extinct. It was not recorded since the type series collection in 1838 or 1839 (Holyoak and Thibault 1978, Kennerley and Pearson 2010). Given that the precise home of this distinctive Acrocephalus has never been determined, the causes of this extinction are unknown.
